Site Messages
Use the site’s available contact method for a technical concern, a link correction, or a question about the reference material. Do not send sensitive personal data, court documents, medical information, victim information, or an emergency message. A site message does not make a public-data request and cannot change a government record.
Faribault County Sheriff and Jail
The Sheriff’s Office is the official county starting point for the current custody report, warrant report, jail information, and county-held booking records. The records route is different from the inmate message line and should be used for a defined public-data request.
The county Data Practices Policy Guide lists Sheriff Scott Adams, Erin Beske, and Sue Jahnke as contacts and gives the request options. It lists 507-526-5148 ext. 2121 for Sheriff Adams, ext. 2112 for Erin Beske, ext. 2002 for Sue Jahnke, fax 507-526-3051, and the current email contacts. Confirm the current contact before sending a request.
Where a Records Question Belongs
Choose the custodian that holds the record sought. A current county-custody question, a city arrest report, and a court disposition may require different official sources.
- For a current county in-custody entry, use the sheriff-linked Faribault County Jail report.
- For a county booking record or photo, make a narrow Chapter 13 request to the Sheriff’s Office.
- For a Blue Earth, Wells, or Winnebago municipal arrest record, contact the arresting city department and ask for its current data-practices contact.
- For a public court case or disposition, use Minnesota Court Records Online or Faribault County District Court.
- For a state prisoner or supervision record, use the Minnesota DOC locator and its records process.
